Like most big cities, London has a variety of social problems and crime. However, women digital nomads will find that London is generally a safe place to visit and explore.

Always be aware of your surroundings, and when traveling on a night bus, always take the lower deck as it is generally safer. There are more passengers around and you are visible by the bus driver. 

If you're planning to go out late at night and are worried about safety, keep to crowded areas such as the West End. There are always plenty of people on the street, even at 4 a.m. Always use licensed drivers when calling for a cab or taxi.

Digital nomads are hard to find in London, mainly due to the high cost of living and the weather. However, London has a vibrant startup scene and it is easy to meet other startups, entrepreneurs, freelancers (and investors) at events and co-working spaces.

Summer is the best season to visit as it has long daylight hours as well as mostly mild temperatures. During winter, the average daily maximum is 8°C (46°F) in December and January, and February is usually the coldest month of the year.
